I’m a San Diegan and I surf. It took me a while to figure it out so it impressed me to no end last Saturday at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition when I saw dozens of dog pulling off this tricky feat.

There was a small dog, large dog, and human & dog riding together category. For the most part the dogs loved it. They got to romp around in the ocean with the person they love the most and get lots and lots of attention. What more could they ask for.

Here are a few pictures from the event. I stood in waist-deep ocean water for an hour to snap these pics so I hope you enjoy them. =)
