Working for PETCO, I hear a lot of great stories about our passionate, pet-loving associates who go out of their way to help animals in need.  Today, I heard  a story about a compassionate PETCO customer who went out of his way for some very special people in need.

Joe Fitzgerald, a PETCO customer from Melbourne, Fla., recently used his passion for animals to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Joe and his dog, Tejyl, have been to Haiti three times since the earthquake, in support of both search and rescue personnel and Project Medishare, where Joe worked as a grief counselor to volunteers and patients in their field tent hospital in Port au Prince.
