Gift Cards – They’re What We Really Want

I was just bought an amazing, adorable, and sweet puppy this past weekend, as an early Christmas gift by a close friend of mine. He is a mixed breed from a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier and he is 9 weeks old. It would be an amazing opportunity to use those 100 dollars to spoil him as a new member and welcome to the family. I want to give him the best of everything, and I would definitely use the gift card towards that cause. God has blessed me with Beany, my little bundle of joy and it would be great to shower him with what he deserves, besides the love and care of-course! I’d spent the gift card buying him the toys, food, grooming supplies and much more, and what better place to obtain them then at PETCO . Also with Christmas coming around in just 11 days, I think it be an awesome gift. Please consider Beany and I as a random choice, it will be greatly appreciated.

I would spend every last dollar of the gift card on my puppy buying him some dog food, treats and probably a new bed that he is in need of!! I would make his Christmas bright with a bunch of goodies from Petco and even treat him to a nice bath and grooming while there.

Rascal would be groomed by his favorite Petco groomer, get some food, a chew toy (or two or three), some waste bags, and of course some treats!!!

Love petsmart and have bought all of our dogs stuff from there!

I love Petco because they carry the Wellness Dog Food that my dogs eat. I would definitely use the gift card to purchase the dog food there. I recently became laid off and right now, I’m able to afford Wellness. I only hope to be able to continue to afford it as I look for work! Gift card would sure be put to good use!

Oh that’s easy to know what I’d do with a card! It’s that time of the year again. Yup, of course, by that, I mean the time when my babies Bright Eyes and The Man in The Yellow Hat need a new UV bulb so they can continue with their gorgeous tortoise tans. Those bulbs are pretty expensive too. Think I’d have some leftover money from 100 though to get them some tortoise yummies.

My three chihuahuas Bailee, Huntlee, and Bentlee love Petco! They say, “Woof woof, take me to Petco PLEASE!!” <3 They love going clothes shopping, picking out new rawhides from the wide variety at Petco, and they love all the attention the wonderful Petco employees give them !!

We bought my 8-year-old son a pet toad last summer after he successfully completed work with an occupational therapist and reading tutor. I didn’t realize at the time that buying the toad — it was less than $10 — would require weekly trips to Petco to buy crickets. If I had $100, I would be able to buy 30 weeks worth of crickets or some new scratching posts and beds for our three cats, who like to keep an eye on what Hoppy is doing.

Great post! There are a lot of animal shelters in the Tampa/Clearwater area that could use donations throughout the year. I would use $80 of the gift card to buy a few bags of food for my local SPCA, and the remaining $20 for a couple of toys for my adopted pit bull mix, Cora. Cora receives lots of love at home and eats only Natural Balance. I can only hope that all of the dogs at the local SPCA will find good homes and I want to help them any way I can.

So cool! I would use some of the gift card for a big bag of Nutro dog food for my pup, but I would also make sure to buy some extra goodies and donate them to our local shelter. They are always looking for donations of toys, treats, etc. especially during the winter months.

I love Petco! I would buy Christmas presents for my puppy, Dunkin, a long haired mini doxie. (He also needs a haircut hehe). I would buy him a few sweaters, because he is not used to PA weather being from TX, bones, and a variety of the treats you can get by the lbs.

Humm, let me see with 2 cats and a guinea pig this will go far! I have finally found a natural litter I prefer, therefore I would buy litter, food, and toys; can’t forget the toys!! How would I spend a $100 gift card from Petco….. Hmmm let’s see I would stock up on cat food, treats and toys for my 2 kitty’s. It would be a Merry Christmas for both of them!

I don’t have a lot of money, but I spare what I can for my cats. I rescued both of them, and I owe them a great life! I would spend $100 on a couple of carriers, a small cat tree (because only one cat uses the big one), toys, and plenty of catnip!

If I won a $100 gift card from Petco, I would use it to buy a new crate for my husands aunts poor dog. This little dog is put into a cat carrier when people come over to their house. It is not large enough for him to stand up in or turn around. I feel soooo bad for him. I have three dogs and have never used a crate for any of them. I just don”t understand how she thinks this is acceptable. So I would buy him a new crate so that he could have room to move around and lay down comfortably!

I have 2 coonhounds that I rescued from shelters that I just love to pieces they are my babies and I consider them my children. I also have 2 rabbits and 1 chinchilla which get along very well and that I also love to pieces. As you know having two larger dogs and 3 small animals can be expensive as I do spoil them a LOT!!! I would love to win a $100 petco gift card so I can spoil them even more than I already do. They deserve it especially my coonhounds…I am so glad that I was able to give them a second chance at life by rescuing them from shelters. My rabbits and chinchilla would also appreciate some extra treats and chew toys this holiday season! I have two English Bull Terriers who just moved up to Queens,New York with me from Texas. I would spend the gift card on winter gear for them. Such as boots and sweaters/jackets. I saw a beanie and scarf for male and female dogs at a PetCo in manhattan that i’d like to get for them! PICK US!!!!!!

With 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 turtles, 2 fish tanks, 3 anoles… I would have no problem coming up with ideas to spend $100! Most likely food for the mutts and turtles. If I had to spend on a want more than a need, I would upgrade the ramp system for the turtle that lives in the 75 gallon tank.

First, I’d (against my husband’s wishes) but more sweaters for Kenny, our Bichon.

If I were to win a $100 Petco gift card, I’d add it to my normal donations that I make to Animal Arc Rescue for cats. I’ve adopted one cat from there and my other cat is from the Humane Society of St. Paul. The animal rescue facilities are doing wonderful things and they all need our help

Hi PETCO! Let me start by saying I love to spoil my dog & hamsters with fun things, and what better way to do it then with a shopping spree where I don’t have to worry about how much I spend or trying to stay within budget. That feeling would be beyond heavenly.

The true reason I would like to win this is I have a senior dachshund who is almost 12.5 years old. She has been with me since she was 5 weeks old and means the world. She was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and we have chosen not to put her through the awful chemo treatment. I would love to spoil her with many toys, the best organic food, and everything possible to help her live out the rest of her years in happiness and comfort. It would truly brighten my day and lift a load of weight off of my shoulders knowing that I have some extra money to put towards her expensive food and vitamins.

Honestly, i would use it to provide my extremely spoiled cats (two of them) with the food, litter and other kitty luxuries that they demand. I am a single mother of two (human) boys and have, at times, denied MYSELF some luxuries just to make sure that my kids (human and furry) have what they demand, because they are what is most important to me.
Their favorite food, the litter they love to put their paws in and nice fluffy, soft pillows of snuggly goodness, that’s what I would get them!

I think PETCO rocks! (and not just because my sister-in-law works there!) lol. The Grooming Dept at the Waterworks location is top notch! I have two cats, Jaspurr and Shadow, Rescues from my sister-in-law. I would buy new litter pans for my cats (because, being a responsible pet owner,one knows to buy new litter pans periodically.) I also need a new carrier and of course lots of toys for my two boys! hum… maybe another cat tree… The possibilities are endless at PETCO!

I would love to win a Petco gift card! We have 5 cats and a dog (as well as a saltwater aquarium, freshwater aquarium, and hamster). We would buy the cats food and treats, some furry mice and maybe a pet bed and cardboard scratcher. For the dog, we would buy her food and treats, a bone, and a new ball. Hubby lost his job earlier this year and is now working unsteady as a truck driver, so we haven’t been able to spoil the 4-legged kids much this year and food for them is a bit of a luxury (but they still want toys too).

My husband just (october 21) suprised me and our boys with a 8 week old shih tzu puppy. P.Nut is a great little puppy and doing well. Much in part to the fantastic support we have received from our local petco in canandaigua, ny. they have address biting problems, eating issues and every other question with care and what is best for the puppy AND the family. I would spend a gift card on food and et ceteras for our cats. My husband and I am taking care of our two – Ares and Gracie – and our four grandkitties – Fluffy, Benny, Silvio and Moby. Actually, I think they think of me as their mother and not their grandma. My daughter couldn’t take care of them any more, so they’ve moved in with us and are very comfortable!! And it can get spendy feeding and taking care of all these furry children. But we love them, and they’ll be staying with us in their forever home!!!!

I would spend the $100 back at PETCO again to purchase a larger aquarium (55G or 75G) as my my 20 gallon (which I had purchased from my local PETCO years ago) is now too small due to a recent baby boom! Several of my female fancy guppies (all from PETCO too!) recently gave birth and now we have a baby boom of 30-40+ baby guppies!

Hooray! We have a new dog coming in January – adopted through Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan. Our future girl, Olive, is in a prison-inmate training program in Coldwater, MI and will graduate to come home with us in a few weeks.

We love PetCo and have already purchased most of the things we need for Olive from there. We will certainly spend even more as we get her settled, and as we try to appease our cat with the new addition to the family!

I would use my Petco card to continue to purchase all my cats and dog needs. Even with the Eukanuba availability problem I always have found helpful employees to help me with alternate choices. I love Petco!

I loved working at Petco until I had to move. I still do all my shopping there. All my animals are spoiled from Petco….where the pets go! I would spend the $100 gift card buying all my animals their Christmas presents! I would also buy my kitten a bed.

If I had the $100 gift card, I’d buy up everything I think my kitty would like, then I’d drop it off in the donation bin on the way out the door. My kitty has all she needs, so we’ll donate to a kitty that isn’t as lucky.

This is pretty easy! We have two indoor cats who eat and poop like there’s no tomorrow, so we’d be buying cat food and litter for them. But we also are caretakers of a small herd of semi-feral cats who hang out in our backyard, so we’d would be sure to buy plenty of food and some cat beds for them, so they’ll be well fed and cozy during the cold winter months ahead!

I would love to buy a new bed and toys for my dog. She is getting older and using her bed all the time now. I would love to have 1 in each of the rooms where she spends most of her time!

I’d spend the $ on stray cats we feed in my neighborhood. Right now we’re feeding our 2 indoor-only cats and 2 regular strays outside. Sometimes they bring “friends” over so we feed more than just the 2. I would stock up on extra food for them with the money from the gift card and purchase a small plastic or wood house for them to go in that would be in my backyard which is where they eat. Because of the gift card, I would have extra cash to get the 2 cars that are friendly shots or some kind of checkup at the vet.

What a blessing a $100 gift certificate would be. Our 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Spunky, became a big brother this weekend when we adopted a rescue dog (a 3-month-old Jack Russell Terrier, Simon)this weekend at PetCo in Acworth, GA. Simon was sick when we adopted him so we had some vet bills right away to get his medication so he will be healthy hopefully by Christmas. The $100 would be a great to spend on Christmas presents for both pups – clothes since they have such short hair and get chilly in the cold weather, toys and treats! Our dog Oliver has a very sensitive tummy and can only eat Blue Buffalo Basics. We are not a heavy income family so its hard to afford to give him the food he needs. I have two cats, Penny and Powder. Powder is 14 and has asthma and arthritis. Penny is overweight due to hypothyroidism. I really love Petco’s selection of food. I am able to go and find a lot of different options to meet both of my cats needs. Unfortunately, food gets pretty expensive with two sick cats. I am a small rescue and this would help out a lot, I do low cost grooming to fund rescue and help out those of low to no income to ensure dogs are not being neglected. I am on disability and sometimes when I do not get grooms or can not physically do it the funds come from my pocket. This would help out a ton. A friend gave me a 6 week old puppy about a week ago and she’s adorable! Her name is Bella… It’s the first time I have a pet and I never thought it was gonna be like taking care of a baby! She pees a lot and she’s actually getting used to them even though I read they can’t control their bladder before 12 weeks. I have a dachshund and rat terrier mix named Mollie, who is celebrating her first birthday on Sunday, the 19th. With this gift card I could spoil her on her birthday like she deserves!! I can also use it to get food for her and my 15 year old cat, Tonka. I take Mollie to PETCO quite a bit, Even if we just look around. As a matter of a fact the manager at my nearest location knows her by name!!

If I got a $100 PETCO gift card, I would use it as a stocking stuffer for my 7 year old son, Cody, marked “from Santa.” This year we got 2 kittens, one for my son’s birthday in June from a Petco adoption, and the other as well…a playmate for the birthday kitty. Cody’s been doing a great job taking care of his kittens by cleaning their litter boxes out every day and feeding them and playing with them. However, it’s been a rocky road since the Fall healthwise. Jaguar, the “playmate” kitty was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia and FIP just last month. I’ve been preparing my son for a short lifespan as much as I can and it’s getting to the end…we’re hoping Jaguar makes it to Christmas, but the FIP is taking over his poor sick little body. More than likely, we’ll be putting him down this weekend. The gift card would be a great treat so that Cody could get something special for his birthday kitty (also named Cody) and something to remember Jaguar by. This is also going to by Cody’s last year of believing in Santa (his classmates are already talking about Santa’s demise) so it would just make it extra special to have a little something extra from Santa. (By the way, did I mention I’m a single mom? I would appreciate it too). Thanks so much!

Denali, our almost 2 year old German Shepherd, loves Petco! She gets excited when we even get close to Petco and can’t wait to get out of the car when we get there. If we were chosen for the gift card, we would use it to buy food, toys, and other necessities to a local shelter. Denali is very lucky to have a family that loves her as much as we do and are able to spoil her, but so many other animals do not. My kids would love this. Since im kinda broke ive been crocheting them blankets, beds, and toys. I think it would be great to get my cat and dog some really good toys and beds. Angel the pomerainian has not been eating her food she gets bored with it so we have to play feed her. Buying those reward toys would be awesome so she can play and eat! Its kinda nice cuz shes 4 and still has the energy of a puppy. Lacy the persian isnt declawed and actually wears cat caps and when one falls off shes throw a fit until a new one is put on! With a $100 gift card, I would start with my dogs Yuma & Shiva’s nails getting done. My local Petco in Chicago has done a wonderful job with them, they are very patient. Then would be on to some good food. I appreciate Petco carrying such as great selection of high quality foods and good prices.

I am now the proud mommy of Daphnee, a 10-week old female pug. She loves to chew and headbutt everything, and seems to the most stubborn little thing I’ve ever come across. She is a happy, hyper genius, and she loves people. She is my everything. Daphnee has brought so much joy and encouragement into my life within the past two weeks that I have been blessed to have her, and I wish to be able to return the favor. I want Daphnee to be a therapy dog, so she can bring joy and hope to people who need it the most. I would use the $100 on Daphnee’s puppy training. It would be the first step in achieving this goal for us.

I have two Yellow Labradors, Lady (7 years) and Bentley (6 months). I’m a full time college student. I’ve lost 2 dogs this year, one to a vaccine reaction and the other was tragically hit by a car. I believe that it is my duty to make my dogs as healthy as possible and good citizens. I am in the process of joining my area kennel club. As it’s been some time since I’ve been owned by a cat, I had to start from scratch, stocking up on litter box, litter, quality food, toys, and much more. My cat, Camille, is on a no-grain, healthy diet. PETCO carries the exact food she needs (and has learned to love). Since starting her on the food (Wellness cans), she has reached the goal weight her vet set for her and is really the picture of health. Her coat is beautiful, she’s at a good weight and she’s happy.

If I won the gift car, I would continue making sure Camille keeps healthy. I plan to keep her around for a very long time and PETCO has helped me to do that!

I just set up an enclosure for my young Brazilian rainbow boa, it’s quite lacking in the furniture department. I got the bedding, tank and climbing log at PetCo, now I just need some cool hides and some more mice to feed it! I’d probably also get my cats some new cardboard scratchers.

I have Maceo (Long-Haired Black Kitty), Isabella(Long-Haired Black/White Kitty), and my newest addition is Oliver(Grey/Striped Fluffy Kitty). They are spoiled little babies!! A new dog has been left at my home.  I have called several places and they can’t take her.  I already have two dogs and a cat; just can’t afford to have her fixed and shots.  I would spend the money on getting her fixed and shots and try to find her a home.  She is blue heeler/collie mix….so sweet.
