I have always loved Halloween. It is the one time of year you can be anything you want, wear whatever you want and no one thinks you have completely lost your mind. Every year when I was growing up, my costume choice was calculated and well planned out. It was a reflection of my personality, style and what excited me most.
In thinking about what I pick as my Halloween costume I now have a 4-legged friend, my dog Sarge, to think about as well, which adds a whole other level to Halloween. Working at PETCO and seeing all of the pets every year that get dressed up, some to match their pet parent or the other pets in their home, some with their completely own style - I’ve been inspired and intrigued by the logic and decision that goes into what a pet will be for Halloween, too. Pet costumes seem to be as unique as the personalities of the pets themselves, which is why we have once again asked the pets to tell us why THEY chose the costume they did for Halloween. Yes, THEM. Not the pet parent, the pet. The stories and pictures we’ve been getting so far are outrageous and fun:
