And to everyone reading about Nico . . . You too and help shelter animals in need! Whether it's volunteering at your local shelter to walk, brush or just love on the dogs, to fostering a dog or helping in transporting dogs from one location to another, any help is so VERY much appreciated! And it's ADDICTIVE! Knowing you ARE making a difference between life and death is an awesome feeling. Knowing someone out there has a "new best friend" because you assisted in some way to help an animal who was "disposable" in someone else's eyes is a feeling that can't be explained! They can be a bit pricey, but they last forever. Keep a few of the same size and shape so he doesn't get confused over what he can & can not chew. He was a joy to be with. I can testify to his propensity to chew. He got an entire tennis ball in his mouth and I couldn't even see it as he chewed it like gum! Freaked me out as I thought he might choke. Ended up having to pull over and wrestle it away from him. Also eventually threw it out the window as he was obsessing on getting it back! He was so funny.
