Nutrition Workshops

This Saturday, all PETCO stores across the country will be hosting a nutrition workshop, to educate pet parents on the right food for their cats and dogs.

So, maybe you’re thinking, how do they know what’s right for my pet? Well, our associates may not know everything, but when it comes to pet nutrition, our experts have definitely done their homework. See, earlier this year we had at least two associates from each store go through extensive nutrition training. I’m talking multiple hours of online and hands-on education, learning how to read pet food labels, what ingredients are important to look for, how breed, life stage, size and other ailments and issues can affect a pet’s nutritional needs and should guide your food choices, etc.

My point is, they know a lot about pet nutrition. And they want to share that knowledge with you, so you can be a better pet parent and give your pets the nutrition they need to live their best life. I urge you to come on in to your local PETCO to learn about the nutritional needs of dogs and cats and be a part of the discussion about the benefits of better pet nutrition. When you come to the workshop, you’ll get a personalized assessment of your individual pet’s nutrition needs and you’ll learn the difference between basic, premium and natural pet food categories – and the unique benefits of each.

As if that isn’t enough to get you in, pet parents will also get educational materials and FREE food samples from Natural Balance, Wellness and Halo. So come socialize with fellow pet lovers, get some free stuff and hey, you may even learn a thing or two!
