Breeders are in it for the money only… my beautiful Golden Retriever at 6 months was going to be put down because they didnt sell him and his brother.. what the heck is wrong with people anymore.. must be the pesticides in everything we use… ??? ..to be so heartless..well both brothers were rescued, flea infested , had no idea what a ball or squeaky too was , they were kept on a cement floor behind bars.. GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPIES.. if someone can do this to them.. god knows what people are doing to pit bulls.. whom i love … THERE SHOULD BE A LAW.. IN EVERY STATE.. ONE LITTER, IF AT ALL, THE PROPERTY SHOULD BE CHECKED, LICENSES SHOULD HAVE TO BE KEPT FOR THE LITTER AND EACH PUPPY micro chipped .. period …but then you have to worry about the breeder.. drowning the puppies ect so they dont have to pay .. more laws should be made.. CAN YOU HELP… WHOMEVER IS READING THIS .. ATTORNEY.. POLITICIAN , PARALEGAL,,, MOM AND DAD,, LET S GET MOVING ON A NEW LAW TO PROTECT DOGS AND CATS FROM BREEDERS.. and FOR ALL dogs and cats at shelters to be neutered or spayed. A 6 month old Chocolate male lab beautiful to be euthanized ..can someone help him and others ?? just read it on Facebooks Save a dog.. or Cat virtual clicking game to help feed shelter animals.. (check it out today and share on your wall) just key in save a dog and you should find it ..takes time to click but you can also post the beautiful unwanted animals at shelters to your walls…just one life is worth it .. i have an acre here and only allowed 4 dogs, which i have.. otherwise i would make my property a shelter too ..FULL BREED DOGS IN SHELTERS.. ??? come on now BREEDERS !! BE RESPONSIBLE !

okay, to start off with, that was just WRONG! i have a pit bull puppy that is just like her and we never thought one minute of dumping her at a shelter to be killed. as a matter of fact, we all thought she was just adorable and when we sold the other puppies, we kept her and named her Ms.Buoy. she is about 15-16 weeks old and weighs maybe 4 pounds. but i believe if you do not want a dog you can’t just go leave it somewhere to die.

Pocket’s DNA results came in this weekend:

Primary breed was unidentified (which we expected because Pit Bull isn’t on the list of breeds that Canine Heritage ids.)

Secondary breed is Staffordshire Terrier (one of the breeds that was used to make up an American Pit Bull Terrier)

Trace DNA was found of a Boston Terrier (not enough to explain the size anomaly)

She is currently 6-7 months old and weighs in at 14 lbs at last weigh in. She will go up for adoption in January from the Pit Bull Rescue San Diego web site – http://www.pbrsd.com.

In the mean time, Pit Bull Rescue San Diego has a number of wonderful regular sized puppies that are ready for adoption now. Check ‘em out!

I second what most everyone above has said. I would adopt her in an instant. We have a chi and a cur at home. Personality would fit well with our cur, size with the chi We’re in northern cali but would drive down for her for sure. Before we got our Cur (only just figured out his breed – was rescued at 6 mo in terrible shape as well) we had a pit/border collie mix. Best dog we’ve ever owned. I’d take another full-sized pitty if we had the space.

I love this little dog. I have a pitbull (Zeus) that I rescued from a pitbull fighting farm. They were going to kill him because he wasn’t mean enough. These dogs really are sweethearts and get such a horrible reputation. If you need a forever home for Pocket, please let me know. I know everyone wants her, but Zeus would love a little sister.

This story should be featured on tv. Call Ellen or Oprah – or best yet, call Rachael Ray she is a pit lover. You will receive many donations this way for sure. And maybe, just maybe, a twinge of guilt may fall into the hearts of the irresponsible breeders – all of them.
