Xylitol – Dangerous to Dogs

A co-worker passed this message on to me from a friend of hers who is a PETCO customer in Redding, WA. I’ve done my due dilligence and checked the validity of Xylitol danger over at snopes.com. This is scary stuff folks. Be careful what you feed your dog.

“I eat them,” I replied, almost shamefully.

“Ugh. I forgot. You eat bugs too. That’s way worse then eating shrimp tails.” She faux-gagged and clutched her throat dramatically. Continue reading »

I no longer use a cane to feel and probe my way through this world. Using others to get around isn’t a problem any more because guide dogs want to go everywhere their human does. All three of my guides have taken me Continue reading »

Treats for Me or Fido?

Around the office, some people have large dog bowls on their desks, filled with candy.   Other people have large dog bowls filled with dog biscuits.  You have to take a moment to look at what you’re about to pop in your mouth.  On Friday in the lunchroom there was a plate of dog treats [...]

My life has gone…To The Dogs

I don’t know if it is a regional saying or widely known, but I love the phrase…Gone to the dogs! Like when your yard is in utter chaos or something is a total mess, people say it has “gone to the dogs.”

I definitely know my house has gone to the dogs, but it [...]
